Kitchen Porter

Job requirements:

  • Work at a fast pace to ensure keeping up with the needs of the kitchen
  • Sweep, scrub and mop floors
  • Empty and clean bins, replace with liners
  • Help meet sustainability targets by ensuring all that can be recycled is recycled.
  • Attend regular team training sessions
  • Able to complete some basic food prep including using a potato rumbler, and picking herbs
  • Organise and maintain all equipment storage areas including crockery, glassware, pots, pans, trays and utensils
  • Wash pots and pans by hand
  • Use of commercial dish and glass washer machines
  • Follow safe lifting and handling procedures
  • Follow COSHH guidelines when using chemicals
  • Follow cleaning schedules to a high standard
  • Communicate effectively within own team
  • Act professionally at all times
  • Able to prioritise and use own initiative
  • Enjoy the buzz of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Physically fit and enjoy being active
  • Enjoy working within a team and be a team player
