Assistant Housekeeping Manager

Responsibilities and Duties

Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager your duties will include, but not limited, to the following:

  • To support the housekeeping manager in training, leading and recruiting housekeeping assistants
  • To ensure all bedrooms and public areas are clean, orderly and well maintained
  • To prepare daily work schedules and assign tasks to the team, ensuring all jobs are complete within the allocated time frame
  • To supervise the housekeeping team in their duties, ensuring that they perform to the set high standards of Hothorpe Venues
  • Conduct regular checks to ensure all expected standards of cleanliness are achieved and maintained
  • Foster team spirit which will direct towards guest satisfaction
  • Support the Housekeeping Manager in monitoring stock control and order services as needed such as linen, toiletries and cleaning chemicals
  • Keep a weekly and monthly inventory of stock
  • Report maintenance issues and follow up to ensure action is taken
  • To demonstrate health and safety, have a working knowledge of COSHH, and to report any risk
  • Be pro active in your approach to any complaint or concern raised
  • Provide inspiration, keep on top of trends and happy to input into the improvement of guest bedrooms and public areas

  • Must have housekeeping experience, with a minimum of 1year experience supervising a team.
  • Previous COSHH, health and safety, and fire training is desirable
